Black Weekend In Nigeria.....


It was "BLACK Weekend" in Nigeria yesterday, as there were cries and sounds of horrid events happening everywhere around the country..A total of 267 lives and billions of dollars worth of property have been destroyed in the period that spanned from Thursday to Sunday.
i.  Multiple Accidents On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: In two unrelated accidents between Lagos and Ibadan, last Thursday, 10 persons were killed. At Ibafo along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, five persons were burnt in a multiple accident and explosions involving nine fuel tankers while a building under construction at New Covenant Church, Sagbe, Ojoo, Ibadan collapsed during a downpour and claimed five persons including two women.

ii. Fuel Tanker Explosion and Tribal Violence: The tragedy occurred at Danco Village in Obafemi Owode Local Council of Ogun State. The citizenry were still absorbing the effects of the tanker explosions when the news of the death of 30 people in Assakyo, headquarters of Lafia Local Council Development Area of Nasarawa State broke. They were killed following renewed violence between Alago and Beron communities. And on the same day, an accident in Funtua, Katsina State, claimed three persons and injured 17others.
iii. Boko Haram Bomb Blast In Bauchi: The Bomb blast which occurred in the early hours of Sunday at the Living Faith Church, Bauchi is said to have had over 12 dead and over 40 wounded and under treatment. The suicide attacker, who was also killed in the blast, targeted worshipers of Living Faith Church, located near the airport in Bauchi, as they left the church after service.


iii. Plane Crash In Ghana: Allied Airplane Cargo Boeing 727 aircraft crash landed, hit a van and killed 10 persons. 
iv. Levi Ajuonuma, 3 Generals, 166 Others Die in Dana Plane Crash 
I cant believe all this happened this weekend........
